An old man was lying on the operating table, awaiting surgery.
He insisted that his son, a renowned surgeon, be the one to perform the operation.
As the anesthesia was about to take effect, the old man requested to speak to his son.
His son, already scrubbed in and ready for the procedure, leaned in and asked, “Yes, Dad, what is it?”
The old man looked at him with a twinkle in his eye and said,
“Son, don’t be nervous. Just do your best.
But remember, if things don’t go well—if something happens to me—your mother is going to come and live with you and your wife.”
