After an afternoon of fishing in the tranquil lake, a fisherman was ambling back to shore, his bucket brimming with a pair of lively trout.
As he reached the dock, a Park Ranger halted him with a request to see his fishing permit.
The fisherman, with a twinkle in his eye, replied,
“Oh, these aren’t just any fish; they’re my trained companions. Every afternoon, I call them by name, and they leap from the water for a stroll on land before returning home.”
The Ranger, skeptical, warned him of the penalties for fishing without a permit.
Undeterred, the fisherman beckoned, “If you doubt me, then behold!” and he gently released the trout back into the lake.
The Ranger, now intrigued, challenged, “Alright, call your fish and let’s see them return.”
The fisherman gave the Ranger a sly look and said, “Call who, now?””
